The Business of Co-operation in Communities
Date: 10 March 2011
Time: 10.30am
Location: Leicester City Council Chamber, Leicester Town Hall, LE1 9BG at 10.30 am
The objective of this event is to raise awareness of co-operation and the opportunities that exist for people to join together to form a co-operative business in challenging but exciting times.
People are increasingly seeing advantages in taking ownership within their communities to benefit themselves socially and economically. We hope to stimulate, enthuse and encourage community groups, local government officers and councillors to take a pro-active stance in moving towards the well-being of society and local needs, particularly in an age of cuts in funding and austerity.
