Commissioning Strategy and Patient Charter - Survey

Leicester City Clinical Commissioning Group has been working in shadow form since April 2011 and is now involved in local healthcare decisions. Over the past few weeks it has been developing its work plans and objectives and is committed to working with others to provide the best possible care for its patients. To do this successfully, Leicester City CCG needs to identify the priorities for healthcare in the city and develop a Commissioning Strategy which will outline its plans for the next two years.

To help to identify what the city's healthcare priorities and commitments should be, Leicester City CCG is asking stakeholders, staff, members of the public, patients and carers for their views on priority areas. It is also creating a Patient Charter, which is a two-way agreement between staff and patients. This includes their rights, pledges and responsibilities while using services associated with Leicester City CCG.

You can tell us your views by completing the questionnaire which is in two main sections. Section 1 focuses on Leicester City CCGs Commissioning Strategy going forward. Section 2 focuses on a Patient Charter to create commitments between patients and staff.

We would also like to invite you to an engagement workshop on:

Thursday 24th November, 9.30am until 12.30pm at Voluntary Action Leicestershire, 9 Newark Street, Leicester, LE1 5SN

If you would like to attend please contact Penny Harris with any requirements you may have (details below).

Findings from this feedback will be used to develop the Commissioning Strategy and Patient Charter. Draft versions will be distributed for wider consultation in December 2011.

The final version of the Commissioning Strategy will be launched in April 2012 and will run until April 2014. The final Patient Charter will be incorporated into the Leicester City CCGs Constitution and communicated via methods agreed with stakeholders during the engagement process.

To give your views, please complete the questionnaire
