If you are a county-based Voluntary, Community or Social Enterprise organisation, come along and meet funders who are actively investing in community groups in your area at our Funding Fair.

Meet local funders

The Funding Fair will give you the opportunity to:

  • Float your ideas past potential funders
  • Learn about current funding programmes
  • Find out how VAL can help you to succeed in your future bids

Who will be there

There are ten confirmed funders, including North West Leicestershire District Council Grants, Arts Council England, the Big Lottery Fund, East Midlands Airport Community Fund, Heritage Lottery Fund, Leicestershire & Rutland Sport, SHIRE Community Grants and Sport England.

In addition to the main stalls, funders will be running presentations throughout the event. We will email the choices to you after you book onto the Fundind Fair. Space is limited so please indicate which presentations you would like to attend as soon as possible.

What's happening on the day

You have the choice of booking onto either the morning or the afternoon session:

Morning Session

  • 9:45am - 10:00am: Registration
  • 10:00am - 12:00pm: Funding Fair
  • 10:30am - 11:00am: Big Lottery
  • 11:00am - 11:30am: Leicestershire County Council - SHIRE Grants
  • 11:30am - 12:00pm: Big Lottery

Afternoon Session

  • 12:45pm - 1:00pm: Registration
  • 1:00pm - 3:00pm: Funding Fair
  • 1:30pm - 2:00pm: Big Lottery
  • 2:00pm - 2:30pm: Leicestershire County Council - SHIRE Grants
  • 2:30pm - 3:00pm: Big Lottery

Who can attend

This event is open to Voluntary Community and Social Enterprise Sector organisations in Leicestershire County only. We will be holding a separate Funding Fair for City-based groups later in the year.

Only 2 people per VCS organisation will be allowed to book on.

  • There are two Pay-and-Display car parks available at the venue
  • Refreshments will be available to purchase.
