Developing Confidence And Personal Awareness - Accredited Course for the Voluntary Sector - Taster Session

VAL are pleased to announce a free training course on offer from May to early July this year for staff and volunteers of organisations in Leicester and Leicestershire. The course will be held at both VAL and Leicester College's Layton Road Centre and involves one morning a week for ten weeks. At the end of the course you will recieve a certificate at level two (equivalent in standard to GCSE) and advice and guidance about how to develop these skills further.
The aim of this course is to improve confidence for volunteers and staff with responsibility for speaking with the public but feel they sometimes lack the confidence to do so. The course looks at dealing effectively with social situtions, increasing your self-knowlwdge and managing stressful situtions. The key objective of the session is to enable staff and volunteers to action plan to achieve their goals.
