VAL are pleased to announce a free training course on offer from May to early July this year for staff and volunteers of organisations in Leicester and Leicestershire. The course will be held at both VAL and Leicester College's Layton Road Centre and involves one morning a week for ten weeks. At the end of the course you will recieve a certificate at level two (equivalent in standard to GCSE) and advice and guidance about how to develop these skills further.
The aim of this course is to help staff and volunteers within organisations to make the most of the way in which they communicate with others. The sessions focus on improving communication skills, face-to-face meetings, telephone skills, written communication (including email) and non-verbal communication. The course finishes with a detailed discussion of managing difficult situtations and dealing with customer complaints. This level two ten week course would be ideal for those wishing to gain a first qualification in customer service.
