Personalisation - Are We Ready?

Start date: 23 Mar 2010 - 9:00am
End date: 23 Mar 2010 - 5:00pm
Location: Voluntary Action LeicesterShire, 9 Newarke Street, Leicester, LE1 5SN

This event is targeted at Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations operating in LeicesterShire.

The Personalisation Agenda is set to transform how services are used. This will alter the current situation where individuals use services provided to them. People will be enabled to become commissioners of their own services giving them more flexibility on how they receive their support. This will hold numerous implications for provider Organisations, especially those in the Voluntary and Community Sector.

This event will enable Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations to engage better with Leicestershire County Council.

During the event Tony Dailide, Assistant Director Leicestershire County Council, will give an explanation of Personalisation and an update on Leicestershire County Councils progress so far.

This will be followed by Jenny Pearce (Vista) who will offer a Voluntary Sector Provider perspective and explain how Vista is getting ready.

Following our guest speakers you will be given an opportunity to question a panel followed by morning and afternoon workshops where we hope to identify and address some of these implications.
