This session is designed to give groups a better idea of how to write an effective press release to publicise the activities of your organisation. 

 

Objectives of session:

1. Explain the purpose of a press release
2. Describe the structure and content of an effective press release
3. Construct an effective press release using examples from participants’ own experience
4. Discuss the importance of matching press releases to the processes of existing media organisations
