This session is designed to give groups a better idea of how to write an effective press release to publicise the activities of your organisation.
Objectives of session:
- Explain the purpose of a press release
- Describe the structure and content of an effective press release
- Construct an effective press release using examples from participants’ own experience
- Discuss the importance of matching press releases to the processes of existing media organisations
