Submitted by The Gas Safe Charity

The Gas Safe Charity is running a free, interactive workshop to help organisations in your area become more aware of the signs and symptoms of Carbon Monoxide (CO) poisoning, understand what to do if you suspect CO may be present and learn of resources that can help you raise awareness.

After the workshop you will receive a set of free training materials that you can use to introduce CO awareness into your organisation.

Open to charities, public bodies and private care agencies, the training will introduce you to the signs and symptoms of CO poisoning, including the numerous health risks associated with frequent, low level exposure to this odourless, invisible and toxic gas. Knowing the signs and symptoms, and being able to manage the risks, will help organisations support vulnerable people and will ensure employers meet their Duty of Care to staff and volunteers.

The workshop is for people who have responsibility for training or supporting staff/volunteers who visit people in their own homes or for health and safety.
