Leicester City Council's Catering Spend in the last financial year was approximately £200,000.00. In June of this year Leicester City Council's in-house provision was closed.
Leicester City Council is now looking to compile a select list of Suppliers to provide catering facilities to the council. Inclusion on this list does not guarantee work.
Catering requirements cover a wide range of events including Meetings, Ceremony, Training Workshops and other external Events. Catering needs fall into 3 categories, beverages, cold food and hot food and suppliers can indicate in the business questionnaire which areas they are interested in.
Ideally Leicester City Council expects:
- Locally sourced ingredients (where possible)
- High quality ingredients
- Ingredients which are fresh
- Fair trade products for tea coffee and sugar (in line with Leicester City Council's Sustainable Procurement Guidelines) -
