Grants are often the first introduction that organisations have to fundraising, but with public finances squeezed many organisations are beginning to look to secure contracts to provide services.

This workshop will provide you with an introduction into how you can start that process, and by the end of the session you will be able to assess your organisation's readiness to enter the world of contracts.

Who is this workshop suitable for?

This course is appropriate for trustees or staff with responsibility for fundraising, or anyone wishing to develop their skills around contracts and tender opportunities.

  • Finding out about opportunities – who, why and where?
  • Everything you need to know about preparing to tender for contracts
  • How to pitch for work and manage effective relationships with commissioners
  • How to submit your bids

Course requirements

  • There are no entry requirements for this course, although participants will require a reasonable understanding of English.
  • To access this course free of charge you will need to be currently working for a voluntary or community organisation based in Leicester or Leicestershire. Organisations who do not meet these requirements will be asked to pay.
