Programme Summary
The Grassroots Grants Programme was funded by the Office of the Third Sector and administered nationally by the Community Development Foundation. Voluntary Action Leicestershire was contracted to deliver the programme in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
The Grassroots Grants: Small Grants programme offered small voluntary and community groups in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland the opportunity to apply and receive funding from £250 to £5000.
The programme began in 2008 with groups having to have delivered their projects and evidenced their spend by 31st March 2011. Voluntary Action LeicesterShire successfully dispersed a total of £1,244,728.20 to voluntary and community groups across the three areas.
