The VAL Health Check

VAL Online Health Check Logo

Simply complete this 10 minute self-assessment, rating your organisation in several broad areas of organisational life, and we will design a package of support specifically for you and your organisations needs.

The Health Check is designed for small–medium sized organisations and is free and confidential for not–for–profit organisations in Leicester and Leicestershire.

If you would like support, call the VAL Helpline to arrange for a Development Officer to take you through the process step-by-step.

How it works

Step 1: Self – Assessment

The health check focuses on the core areas of running and developing your organisation. Thinking about your organisation, its knowledge and skills, strengths and weaknesses; rate your organisation for each area.

Step 2: Results and Reading

Based on the results of your health check we will provide you with a breakdown of the areas you could improve on and send you a package of additional reading and useful information to help you improve in these identified areas.

Step 3: Specific support needs

Tell us what areas you feel you need developing. This may be an issue highlighted whilst taking the health check or other aspects you feel you need support with. Be as specific as you can. We will factor this information into the support package we create for you.

Step 4: Action plan

Based on your health check results and your specific support needs we will provide a tailor made support package specific to your requirements, including one-to-one support from a VAL Development Officer, and develop an action plan to ensure all your support needs are addressed.
