Home-Start Charnwood Trustees Required

Home-Start Charnwood is currently looking to expand the range of skills on its board and is particularly interested in hearing from anyone who has experience in marketing and public relations, commissioning and procurement or fund-raising and community involvement. Do you have these skills, or do you know someone who does?

Home-Start also need their Trustees to have enthusiasm, an interest in the needs of families in Charnwood, and time to devote to Home-Start.

Home-Start is a voluntary organisation committed to promoting the welfare of families with at least one child under 5 years of age. Our home-visiting volunteers offer regular support, friendship and practical help to families under stress in their own homes helping to prevent family crisis and breakdown.

Home-Start believes that children need a happy and secure childhood and that parents play the key role in giving their children a good start in life and helping them to achieve their full potential.

Home-Start Charnwood is rooted in the local community that it serves, and is managed by its Board of Trustees all of whom are volunteers. The board is responsible for the strategic planning, financial resources, policy implementation and risk management of the Scheme. We need our board to have a wide range of skills to enable it to effectively promote the aims of the Scheme.
