The Fawcett Society campaigns for gender equality in the UK, looking at women's rights in issues such as equal pay, pensions, poverty, justice and politics. The newly formed Leicestershire Fawcett Group is holding a special launch event on the 9 November 2011. Guest speakers are from the Centre for Women and Democracy and the national Fawcett Society and a performance by poet and performer Lydia Towsey. The event is free to attend and doors open for refreshments and networking at 6.30pm. Everyone is welcome - no need to book.

Local organisations supporting the aims of Fawcett are invited to book a promotional stall at the event.
