Voluntary Action LeicesterShire works with individuals and organisations to help them to influence local policy decisions and create positive change in their communities.
We work to enable organisations to influence funders, councils, government departments and policy makers by supporting the work of VCS Representatives.
What are the VCS Forums?
VAL supports two main VCS Forums: the Children, Young People, and Families Forum and the Adult Health and Social Care Forum. By participating in these Forums, VCS groups across the City and County can speak directly to decision-makers and work on shared initiatives with other VCS groups. See our upcoming forum events or read feedback from our forums.
Who are VCS Representatives?
Representatives are members of the voluntary and community sector (VCS) who help to inform and influence the approach to the way services are delivered. For example VCS representatives sit on partnership boards and help to make decisions on Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's services.
