Media Training for Equality Groups
Date: 11 March 2010
Time: 10am-4pm (registration from 9:30am)
Location : Nottingham
Cost: £50 (standard cost £195)
Do you want to know how to deal with negative media coverage of equality groups - BME, disabled people, gypsies and travellers, lesbians and gay men, refugees, migrants and/or others?
Do you want to do something about it?
For equality groups dealing with the media can often be a challenge. This training aims to provide delegates with invaluable and practical public relations tools for dealing with the media. You will develop an understanding of what media relations is and how it can benefit your organisation and the frontline groups that you work with. You will equip yourself with skills to gain local and national media coverage from writing a press release to planning a great photo to dealing with negative coverage, including complaints.
Please not: This training event has a limit of 20 participants so please book early.
Bursaries are available to cover the course fee if your organisation cannot afford to attend. If you would like to apply for a bursary to cover the cost of the training, please contact Geraldine Nolan at Women's Resource Centre at: geraldine@wrc.org.uk or phone: 020 7324 3052.
