  • Carol Leeming appointed as Consultant to Leicester/shire Music Education Hub
    Carol Leeming has been appointed as Consultant to Leicester/shire Music Education Hub (LMEH) which oversees Music Education in the county and city.

    The partnership is looking to improve Culturally Diverse Music Education in Leicester.

  • The Association of Chairs is now running a series of free webinars as part of their Beacon Programme for Chairs / Vice Chairs of charities in England with an income under £1m. Sessions complement their 4-module programme and are ideal for people who have less time, missed dates or who are unable to get to the workshop locations. They are currently taking bookings for Being an Effective Chair, and Strengthening your Organisation webinars.

    There are also in-person workshops running in Newcastle, Manchester, Somerset and Cornwall in March and April.

  • The Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust has opened grant applications for community groups to deliver activities on Stephen Lawrence Day, 22 April 2019.

    Stephen Lawrence Day is for all ages and individuals from every background. The day will have a strong focus on young people and the communities they live in, enabling them to make positive choices and live their best life.
    There is up to £400 funding available for community groups offering a day of activities, which should focus on.

  • Leicestershire County Council's SHIRE Community Grants programme for 2019-20 will open for applications on 1st April 2019.

    SHIRE Grants are available for charities, community organisations, social enterprises and Town/Parish Councils to deliver projects which improve the lives of vulnerable and disadvantaged people in Leicestershire.

The Council would like your views on how they support VCS Groups in Leicester. Detailed information security questions have become more common in ITT documents due to the introduction of GDPR.
