Leicestershire Together partnership is currently deciding what services it wants to commission across Leicestershire and the Districts in the future, and the VCS has been invited to be a part of this process.
The partnership has recently changed its structure to better reflect its role as a commissioner of services, and has five main commissioning boards:
- health and wellbeing
- children and young people
- enterprise partnership
- safer communities and environment, and a number of cross cutting theme groups or sub-boards.
The main boards and some of the other boards will be producing plans in January, which will be discussed at VAL¹s Stand Up For Communities event on 17 January. Following this, VCS Strategy Group representatives will take forward the views of the VCS to a series of three meetings that are being convened by Leicestershire Together.
