Becoming influential; Becoming involved - Oadby and Wigston Borough Council

Oadby and Wigston Borough Council invites you to a conference to present the findings on the Borough VCS review and will provide an opportunity for all organisations to add comments, views and thoughts. It will explore what is meant by a thriving VCS and will look at ways in which all organisations can be as influential and involved as possible.
Background
- An independent review has been carried out on the voluntary and community sector in Oadby & Wigston.
- There is an increasing emphasis on a “Thriving Third Sector” and what this means locally.
- Funding and development of the VCS is changing.
Aim
This event will present the findings on the Borough VCS review and will provide an opportunity for all organisations to add comments, views and thoughts. It will explore what is meant by a thriving VCS and will look at ways in which all organisations can be as influential and involved as possible.
The event will be hosted by Oadby and Wigston Council and the Voluntary Community Sector will help facilitate on the day.
