VAL achieves Investing In Volunteers accreditation
Voluntary Action LeicesterShire has received the Investing in Volunteers UK Quality Standard, for organisations that involve volunteers, which is open for all organisations who involve volunteers.
To be approved for the award organisations are required to put together a portfolio evidencing their practices in regards to their involvement of volunteers to be assessed. An assessor then interviews selected staff and volunteers to determine whether the standard is awarded. VAL successfully completed the process and are now an accredited organisation.
VAL's information is also now accredited and can be used as examples or templates for updating new or existing volunteer involving organisations.
Alongside this VAL also provides a group support service for charities and not-for-profit organisations.
