Lighthouse Learning - Qualifications support for organisations in Leicester and Leicestershire

Lighthouse Learning is now able to offer a service to voluntary and community sector organisations; helping you to accredit learning.

As a registered Open College Network Provider they can support your delivery and accreditation of National Open College Network qualifications. They have a Quality Reviewer, Curriculum Development Officer and an admin support team to develop courses, register learners, review portfolios and issue certificates.

Schools and larger providers are already working together to maximise their skills and expertise whilst smaller organisations seem to be working alone. The cost and time required to become an accredited provider is often restrictive.

Lighthouse Learning can quickly and easily support you in providing accredited opportunities for young people and adults and are now able to offer you support and guidance as well as a full accreditation service.

By joining, you will be able to utilise our expertise, save yourself time and money and offer an accreditation package within your future bids and tenders.

They are offering an annual affiliation service with fees of:

• £250 for organisations with up to 10 learners per year
• £350 for organisations with 11-20 learners per year

Organisations with more than 20 learners per year are recommended to register directly with Open College Network East Midlands Region.

Due to the costs to Lighthouse Learning in registration fees, administration and moderation time and training required they have to charge a fee that covers additional work. It is however significantly less than an organisation's direct registration with Open College Network. You will also be part of a local network of providers and will gain from information exchanges.

For this fee you will receive:

• An induction session on NOCN qualifications
• A meeting with the Curriculum Development Officer to plan your qualification or unit delivery
• Administrative support including returns of all registration forms, certificate issue forms, provision of Unique Learner Numbers (ULN) for school points.
• Free attendance at our Quality Review meeting to assess learner portfolios
• Submission of learner portfolios for accreditation
• 5% discount on Lighthouse Learning courses in relation to accreditation
• Free half yearly newsletter

This service is available for any organisation in Leicester and Leicestershire.
