Desktop Publishing
Introduction to desktop publishing includes basic skills and techniques for creating professional newsletters, posters, flyers and promotional material. This will take you from origination through to print ready artwork.This will consist of lectures, demonstrations and skills workshops which will show you how to be more cost effective in the production of promotional material.

Photoshop
An introduction to basic PhotoShop tools, skills and techniques for editing pictures and working with resolution. We will be working with layers, filters and effects for use in print and online. This will consist of lectures, demonstrations and skills workshops.

Web Design
Introduction to Website design, basic skills and techniques for creating a website. We will look at HTML and CSS and how to combine these to make attractive looking websites.The course will give the student a core understanding of web design and will help those who edit in house content management systems or websites.

Social Media
This course looks at various social media platforms and how you can use these within your organisation.We will look at how business, charity and community groups have made use of Social Media and what they have learnt along the way.This is not just an introduction to facebook and twitter but is a guide through the whole social media landscape.

Printing
Introduction to Printing includes, print buying, sourcing quotes and working with commercial printers. This will consist of lectures and demonstrations on setting up files for print, file formats plus lots of tips. Please register your interest in this course, so dates can be set depending on interest shown.
