VAL helps voluntary and community groups to participate in the decisions that affect their local community.
Through our policy work, VAL seeks to:
- Enable the voluntary and community sector to influence and shape public policy
- Enable voluntary groups to understand and respond to changes in policy

What we do
- speak up on behalf of voluntary groups to a range of local decision-makers
- help groups to find new solutions to community needs
- brief voluntary groups on policy changes
- support people to be effective champions for their communities
