This course will provide you, your staff and volunteers with the skills and knowledge to meet competencies 1-6 of the Leicestershire and Rutland Safeguarding Board’s key competencies. This is a requirement for anyone working with adults in need of safeguarding.

  • How to recognise signs of abuse
  • Using your safeguarding procedure
  • Whistle-blowing procedures
  • Creating a safe environment

Who is this course suitable for?

This course is suitable for any member of staff or volunteers who have contact with adults in need of safeguarding.

Course requirements

There are no entry requirements for this course, although participants will require a reasonable understanding of English and some basic written skills.

To access this course free of charge you will need to be currently working for a voluntary or community organisation based in Leicester or Leicestershire. Organisations who do not meet these requirements will be asked to pay.
