Strategic Partnerships

Leicester Partnership

We know that more gets done if people in an area work together. Therefore, our job is bring together the different parts of the public sector as well as the private, business, community and voluntary sectors so that different initiatives and services support each other.  We are a single overarching local co-ordination framework within which other partnerships in Leicester can operate.

The Leicester Partnership has six strategic theme groups and two 'cross cutting' groups. All of these groups are aligned to the One Leicester strategic priorities. These groups in turn work with a number of further groups and partnerships who focus on delivering action against particular aspects of each theme.

Leicestershire Together Partnership

Leicestershire Together is a partnership made up of:

  • The County’s 8 local Councils
  • The NHS
  • The Police
  • The Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service
  • The Chamber of Commerce
  • The Learning and Skills Council
  • Connexions
  • The Equivalent Leicester City Partnership
  • The Voluntary Sector

Through the partnership, we work together to improve services for example: schools, businesses, hospitals, roads, parks and help and to enhance the lives of people in Leicestershire.

The Police, NHS and local councils spend in total £2 billion in Leicestershire on educating, protecting, curing, treating, transporting and entertaining roughly 630,000 people.

It is the job of partnership to work across administrative boundaries to ensure that the £2 billion is spent efficiently.
