Improving Financial Confidence is aimed at helping people become more confident in and more aware of how to take control of their finances. The Big Lottery fund have now confirmed that the Leicester City proposal will be taken forward to the final bid stage.

Tender to deliver engagement and representation for communities of interest

This tender is for an opportunity to enhance and develop networks representing Black and Minority Ethnic communities, Faith communities and Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual and Transgender communities to enable service providers, specifically Leicestershire County Council, to engage effectively with the target communities in relation to the planning and delivery of public services.

Tender to deliver engagement and representation for rural communities

This tender is for an opportunity to enhance and develop networks representing Leicestershire rural communities (paying specific attention to disadvantaged and vulnerable groups) to enable service providers, specifically Leicestershire County Council, to engage effectively with rural communities in the planning and delivery of public services.

Tender for the provision of mobility, rehabilitation and life skills services

Leicestershire County Council is inviting quotations for the provision of orientation, mobility, rehabilitation and life skills services to visually impaired children and young people up to and including 19 years of age for whom the Council has an education responsibility and who live in the County of Leicestershire.

Tender for the provision of an Independent Tenant Advisor for Housing Options Appraisal

Charnwood Borough Council is seeking quotations from suitably qualified individuals or from experienced organisations to act as an Independent Tenant Advisor to provide advice and support to Charnwood tenants and leaseholders as part of an options appraisal for the future management of its stock. It is anticipated that the work will be for a maximum period of 4 months, commencing in December 2011.

Tender for the provision of parenting programmes

This tender is for the provision of Parenting Programmes in Leicestershire. The estimated contract value is £150k per year.

The Big Fund

The Big Fund will deliver a new £16.8m government fund released to support advice-giving not-for-profits in England which have suffered statutory funding cuts. Grants of between £40,000 and £70,000 will be available to organisations offering free advice on debt, welfare benefits, employment and housing through the Advice Services Fund.

Volunteer performers needed for 'Games Time' Olympic Games Celebration Event

Games Time are looking for 160 volunteers to perform in Games Time - the Most spectacular celebration of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games in The East Midlands. A huge show staged on a massive games board with extraordinary costumes and breath-taking fireworks, Games Time is coming to Loughborough on 9 June. No experience necessary - all we will need from participants is dedication, enthusiasm and commitment.
