We are delighted to announce that we have been successful in our bid to continue providing support services to the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) in Leicester City.

Voluntary Action LeicesterShire (VAL) has successfully supported voluntary groups in Leicester City for over 50 years. Securing Leicester City Council’s VCS Support Services contract for a further three years means that we will be able to continue offering advice, training, events and online resources to our diverse and vibrant local voluntary sector, as well as supporting local residents into volunteering.

Simon Jenner, VAL’s Voluntary Sector Support Executive Manager, said:

“We’re thrilled to have won the City VCS support contract for another three years. It’s a reflection of the hard work of VAL’s Sector Support team, and their dedication to helping Leicester’s voluntary sector to thrive and deliver vital services under increasingly difficult circumstances.

We’re looking forward to continuing in our role as a champion for the VCS in Leicester City and to supporting many more groups over the coming years.”
