Infrastructure support services to frontline organisations

Consortium members provide support for voluntary and community groups to develop across the following areas:

  • Small groups development, pre-start up, start up, governance, constitutions, business planning

  • Organisational development, performance improvement, governance, leadership, business planning, diversity, marketing, health and safety, management, financial management, crisis support

  • Access to facilities, meeting rooms, offices etc

  • Income generation, funding, small grants, procurement and enterprise

  • Volunteering, recruitment, management and retention

  • Human resources, how to recruit and manage staff and comply with legislation, including equal opportunities

  • Technical support in specialist areas, sub-sectoral infrastructure

  • ICT, strategies for deploying ICT, access to low cost support, equipment and software

  • Workforce development, developing the organisational and professional skills of the workforce, paid and voluntary

  • Partnership building and brokerage for policy making, planning and service delivery

  • Policy and research collecting and providing evidence

  • Advocacy and representation, providing a representative and accountable voice for frontline organisations to policy makers, service planners and funders
