WISE Social Enterprise

WISE is a new project designed to support new and existing social enterprises in Leicester, to create new businesses, turnover and jobs. Wise offers you free support, advice and training to help turn your Social Enterprise idea into reality. To be eligible for support you need to be a city organisation, or planning to deliver services in Leicester.

WISE is a partnership project: You can get free advice and training from the Co-operative and Social Enterprise Development Agency (CaSE-Da) and VAL, and student placements from the University of Leicester.

Come and celebrate Social Enterprise Day with the Working In Social Enterprise (WISE) project at VAL.

This is the first in a series of WISE Networking Events. Come along to meet your fellow entrepreneurs, share your issues and good practice, and hear from inspirational speakers about their experiences with social enterprise. Lunch will be provided.

The following workshops will be running at the first event.

  • How to increase the margin: making more money from trading
  • One problem, many answers: share your enterprise dilemmas with other people in the same position, and support each other to find the answers
  • Dragons' Den: Pitch your trading ideas to a panel of entrepreneurs
