Writing Funding Applications
Aims
This session aims to enable groups to write effective applications for funding by emphasising the importance of planning and identifying the key features of funding applications.
By the end of the session participants will be able to:
- Describe methods by which the voluntary and community sector may be able to raise funds
- Explain the importance of planning in applying for funding
- Describe the key features of a project plan
- Compare and contrast good and bad funding applications
- Identify ways in which groups may be able to identify sources of funding for their own projects
Duration of session:
The session is two hours long although it can be tailored to the personal needs of your group at the agreement of the trainer.
This session is part of VAL's ‘core training' offer. Core training is available to voluntary and community sector groups free of charge at a venue of your choosing. You will be required to cover the cost of your venue and any refreshments you require on the day. VAL also require a minimum number of ten people on any session.
