Open dialogue sessions between the City Council and local VCS groups and organisations continue later this month. These are being led by Cllr Mustafa Malik, Assistant City Mayor with oversight of the Voluntary and Community Sector.

Cllr Malik has been tasked with refreshing, renewing and reshaping the City Council’s relationship with the VCS. His intention is to develop a robust way of working together that can meet the challenges and opportunities not only of the present, but also the future.

The next two sessions are aimed at representatives of VCS groups and organisations based in Humberstone and Hamilton, Thurncourt or Troon wards, or with an active presence in one or more of those wards.

Please reserve a free place at your preferred meeting via the Eventbrite link. There is no need for anyone to attend both meetings as they will have the same content and format. Other meetings will be held shortly for VCS groups and organisations based in other city wards or with an active presence in those wards – continuing till the end of this year. There’s nothing to stop you from attending one of these two meetings, if you’d prefer.

If you have any queries or comments about these meetings, please contact George Ballentyne, VCS Engagement Manager at Leicester City Council: vcs@leicester.gov.uk; 0116 454 4146
